Installing flash on 11.04 64bit version and fixing it

To fix flash on 11.04 as you cannot download from adobes site but you can download it from ubuntu software center you might expect a crast restart and re do it please follow this

after installation you will see broken screens for som facebook apps or flicker to fix it read this download from this site extract the file from tar

Extract the .so file and put it in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/
you might need to change permission of plugins dir by sudo chmod 777 /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/
then copy the file and then again change permission
sudo chmod 775 /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/

this should take care of the issue

11.04 1st problem with VLC after installation

VLC audio crackling after installation with new on board audio devices

ubuntu gnome3 gtk3+ problems and frustrations and ways to go about it

1. Make sure you uninstall compiz fusion or it creates a mess
2. If installing from gtk3+ source ignore step 3
3. Sometimes you might face problem with display card frlgx issues
4. You might have to boot in console and manually start x
5. Alt tab stops working which is very irritating.
6. File manager stops working you might need to open every thing thru application.
7. And you might need to reinstall gnome shell.
8. Make sure Gnome 3 is properly installed if not sure don not do metacity --replace  or compiz --replace

Gnome 3 will be officially released with natty but to those wannna try before here is what you need to do.
1. First register yourself at https://launchpad.net as you will need to add Gnome-3 Testing PPA by ricotz
2. install essentials by using command , this is actually to install GPG on your PC
